Joan Collins Timeless Beauty Makeup Review – with video....

Review by Ceri Wheeldon
It’s easy to get into the habit of always buying the same makeup brands – but sometimes it’s good to try something a little different – and personally I like to try new products from the smaller brands – in my mind they do fewer products really well, and as they have less to spend on marketing the quality of the product has to speak for itself.
I have written previously about the admiration I have for Joan Collins setting up her own make -up line and the energy and commitment she demonstrated in launching it would put most women half her age to shame.
But what about the products?
Well I haven’t tried them all, but I have tried a selection of lipsticks – and the under-eye concealer.

I tried 3 colours: Fontaine, Sadie and Melanie
I have to say that I was a bit worried about trying the purple one- and I haven’t tried purple lipstick since I was a teenager -but in fact once its applied it’s a lovely shade of pink , thank goodness!
I have found over the last couple of years that many lipsticks have a really drying effect on my lips. I found the opposite with these. They had a really good moisturising effect. They lasted well too and I didn’t need to reapply as often during the day. I also applied the lip gloss to the centre of my lips – to create the illusion of fuller lips. It wasn’t at all sticky so again a winner.
Cost £18 for the lipsticks and £18 for the lip gloss ( I had Too Hot To Handle)

I suffer from dreadful dark circles -  products like touche eclat, which are really designed to highlight rather than conceal aren’t the right consistency for me – and I tend to look like a pander in reverse by the time I apply enough product to cover the circles – and most heavier concealers are too drying, and tend to sink into the fine lines around me eyes.
The concealer in Joan’s product is both a concealer and skincare product combined. It calms puffy eyes and helps to plump out fine lines and is extremely moisturising.. So with active ingredients including Butchers Broom, Horse Chestnut, Liquorice  as well as concealing, it actually helps to reduce dark circles over time. I really liked this – it will be a permanent fixture in my make-up bag. At £17 it is competitively priced – especially taking into account that it does more than just conceal...
